Remember when I used to be a blogger? Wow, those were good times huh? But nowadays my life has become such an epic BORE, that I can't come up with anything interesting or relevant to share.
I sort of suck. But, that's okay. I embrace it.
So what's up in the DHU?
School's out (PRAISE GOD)... well, sort of. Looks like Miss Lizzy will be getting an extra helping of educational bliss as she serves her two weeks of SUMMER SCHOOL for both physics and algebra. Poor kid. Got her Daddy's book smarts (none) and her Mama's work ethic (none). Thankfully, SS is available online.
In celebration of our semi-freedom, we hit Tybee for the weekend, and of course it was EXCELLENT. I basically did nothing but read my Sookie Stackhouse book (#11) and lounge in the glorious sun.
We had to cut the trip short because Lizzy had a softball game Monday night. I'm SO freakin' happy for the girls on our INFERNO team because they're turning out to be such likeable, fun-loving, bat-swinging young ladies. Lizzy loves pitching, and she's improved through practice (not enough to suit her Daddy) and maturity. She's had a couple of freak outs this season where she got behind in the game and had to move over to third base, but these last couple of games she's pitched like a champ.
Thanks for checking in with the DHU Crew... life really is pretty doggoned delightful around here. This is my absolute FAVORITE time of year, even with the heat, humidity and mosquitoes. Give me a cold drink and a hot Summer day and I'm a happy girl.
