Yay! Thanks to some inspiration from 'Running on the Wall,' some motivation from Sid, and the excellent carpentry skills of Big Dave, I have a super cute new hanger/holder/shower-offer for the (handful of) race medals I've earned by trudging through 13.1's and that single, life-changing 26.2 over the last year and a half. Shorter races usually don't give out medals, but that's okay because I have my own little race bib shrine to remind me of the miles I've paid to travel via running shoe.
So I scrounged around and found an address plaque in my mom's workshop, spray painted it glossy black, and got Big Dave to drill the holes for some hooks he found in the garage. God only knows how he figured out how to get the hooks evenly spaced... it's like hieroglyphics to me, but he did it perfectly.
(How the heck does a person divide 16.5 by 4 in his head? I am SURE that I have a hole in my brain where math's supposed to be.)
Then I headed up to the Penthouse to create the finishing touch with some leftover adhesive vinyl and the Cricut (Calligraphy Loopy font.)
And voila!
And there are PLENTY of hooks for me to fill. I plan to add another this Saturday when I tackle my next half marathon at Tybee!

YAY! I love it when nagging is described as "motivation". It looks PERFECT!

That man of yours can do anything and with your ideas you are bound to succeed. I think this is ingenious.
