If you haven't figured it out by now, Big Dave is my soulmate... my perfect match. And last night proved it yet again.
He was working 3-11 down at Ft. Stewart, and I was at the Hottie Neighbor's Hottie Hubby's birthday party. I was sitting there minding my own business (ie, running my mouth and drinking wine) when he sent me a video message.
It was of a little kitty rubbing all over his boots and twining herself around him like she was totally in love. The following is our text conversation:
Me: "Is that a kitty? I WANT her."
BD: "Really?"
Me: "YES. BRING HER TO ME."
Me: "...Unless she seems happy there."
BD: "She's in my truck."
Me: "She's not gonna be happy in there."
BD: "I'm bringing her some food."
Yes, that's right, My sweet ol' softy bear who ALWAYS bitches about my unfortunate habit of bringing home critters, rescued this little baby kitty from a life of dumpster diving and having babies until her uterus falls out.
As you can imagine, Miss Lizzy was over the moon when I told her that Daddy was bringing home a kitten. She named her 'Lottie.'
Oh she is SO danged CUTE!
I think Calico kitties have the coolest personalities... second only to orange boy kitties. Calicos are nearly always female, and all the ones we've lived with have had ballsy, bad-ass, take charge demeanors. And this one is no different!
We love Lottie!!!!

I have never owned a cat and don't ever want to but some of my best friends are cat lovers. I completely understand their devotion and appreciate that they have room in their hearts for these precious little creatures from God. Welcome to the Dhu, Ms. Lottie.
