So here's the thing, in the grand scheme of cuteness and joy I'm gonna have to rank little baby spotted fawns right up there with bunnies, chicks, and tiny little infant alligators (okay, so what if I like alligators... don't judge me.)
That being said, you can imagine the completely adorable moment we all had the other day when this little fella (not to be confused with filet) came scampering out of the woods in our backyard...
Quick, let's say it together... 'aaaaaaawwwwwwwwww...."
(Mia, you may want to hide Sally's eyes.)
And then we realized that he was with his big brother...
...aaaaawwwwww....
Uh oh... moment of confusion and awkwardness coming up...
"Hey little bro, I'm NOT your mommy!"
Oops.
Wait, here's Mommy over in the bushes getting a back scratch from big bro number two...
Isn't that the COOLEST??? We've got tons of muscadines growing all along the edge of the woods and this little family thinks we're the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday or somethin'.
And what happens when the sun goes down? Well, last night I caught a glimpse of something moving outside on the neighbors' lawn and lo and behold there they were again munching away on the pretty green grass.
This of course got Big Dave all hot and bothered and he turned into mister stealth bomber dude, grabbed my camera and a flashlight and snuck out the front door. I stood, watching out the window as he crept closer and closer to the herd. (This time there were four adults, and no baby... past her bedtime I guess.)
Big Dave kept up his slow, steady pace until he was less than 30 feet from them...
I was kind of hoping that one would freak out and attack Big Dave (just a little) so I'd have a really exciting story to tell, kinda like me and the slip n slide incident. But alas, they just stared at him...
They finally got tired of him and skipped into the woods, but wowzers was it super exciting to see him get that close. Yes, there is definitely some bambiliciousness goin' on around here!
**Disclaimer** Don't worry, Big Dave can't shoot our bambies out here because even though we have woods, we are definitely still in the Savannah city limits. Phew!

That is definitely an "awwwwwwwwwww" moment. Sometimes I see a few on the street where we live after dark when I come home from church and they are running through peoples yards and sometimes as they cross over the street. I am always thankful Mark is not in the car with me!

You guys have way too much fun with the wildlife out there! And I see you're still shooting for more porn viewers - a little more verbal on that front will get you discovered, baby.
